Nigel
W. Ruddock
was born in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex, England.
After preliminary experience at the Cambridge Summer Violin Making Course and
at the Portsmouth Violin Shop, he attended the Welsh
School of Instrument Making & Repair, which
he left 1988 with the Diploma (Merit) in Violin Making.
He subsequently moved to Germany, working for Master Violin Makers Gerriet Groth
(Wiesbaden) and Eugen Sticht (Mainz). On obtaining the Masters
Certificate in 1998 he opened his own workshop in Langen.
He is a member of The British Violinmakers
Association and the Verband.Deutscher Geigenbauer.
