An important aspect of our work is the making of new
instruments, and the discerning musician soon realises the advantages of an
individually made violin, viola or cello. As its first owner, he or she
has the joy of discovering its unique tonal characteristics, its reactions and
its whims. He can in effect imbue the instrument with his own personality.
